Dog Friendly Places to stay in Skipton.

Hi everybody, I can smell spring on the way and with fresh tulips and daffodils making a plentiful appearance in my home, I really feel it is finally just around the corner, even though there’s sleet on the hills as I am typing this, haha!

Having listened to the news this week I think the stay-cation is definitely going to be making a comeback again this spring/summer 2021, which I am sure so many of our businesses (including us) will be hugely grateful as we climb our way out of  lockdown and future tiering.

I had a quick scan on some websites this morning and over 80% of the hotels, Bed and Breakfasts, and cottages in Skipton were booked up in July and August, WOW, over 80%! The summer is absolutely something we can look forward to at the moment though, right?

We are so excited to get the shop open again and safely invite all of our human and hound customers. If you are thinking about coming to see us this spring/summer from further afield and are looking for somewhere to stay, I have put together a little list of some smaller/independent holiday lettings that are of course, dog friendly so you can enjoy your stay in Skipton that little bit longer, and then maybe we get to see you for breakfast, lunch and dinner 😉

Below are some holiday lettings for a range of budgets and then one that is a little bit of an adventure, so we will save that one until last!

The first holiday home is a newly renovated holiday let in Skipton and the owner is a “Superhost” with a score of 4.9 from the 21 reviews the host lives in Skipton and can therefore be of assistance if needed. It comes with all the mod cons such as 4K Smart TV in all 3 bedrooms and amenities such as free on street parking and WIFI needed for your stay, it sleeps 5 people in the 3 bedrooms and of course pets are allowed! Another newly refurbished property in Skipton, this holiday home looks absolutely stunning sleeping 6 guests over 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, they are definitely dog lovers as Nina (The Host) her husband trains Labradors. There isn’t any review for this holiday home as it seems completely new, but it has all the amenities and free parking and for £63 a night it just looks beautiful. Next is "The Corner house", if you fancy more of a cottage feel this little village cottage is in Embsay a stone’s throw away literally a 5-minute walk from Skipton, sleeps 5 guests in 3 bedrooms. Hannah the host also a dog lover as she has a little chihuahua called Betty. This holiday home is £91 per night but it really has such a lovely cottage feel and you can even visit Embsay Steam Railway before making your way to Skipton. The Hayloft, comes with the most sensational views. Julie is a “Superhost”. The Hayloft is a contemporary, two double ensuite bedroom property which looks to be finished to an extremely high standard and it really does benefit from the most stunning views of the Yorkshire Dales from its elevated position on the moors at £139 per night you can enjoy a stay at The Hayloft. Finally, how about something a little different?

You can discover a completely new way to stay in Skipton, on a narrowboat. The Blue Otter is moored in the centre of Skipton. It has one bedroom and sleeps 2 people and you can even take your pooch, how cool is that? £109 a night, I think this would be a real adventure.
