Moki and Blu - An interview with Emilia (Owner of Moki and Blu)
Hi everybody, we wanted to wait for some exciting news before we wrote our next blog post and the exciting news is here!
But, before we get into that, we just wanted to say a HUGE thank you for everybody's support and custom over August and September we have been super busy and can't thank everyone enough for keeping us busy and keeping us all safe, here are a few of out dog guests we have had recently, gorgeous aren't they?
Here goes the big news, we are over the moon to be teaming up with Moki and Blu and having Emilia's handmade dog leads and collars available to buy at Kibble Bakery.
Emilia is from West Yorkshire and we love to support our Yorkshire based designers and makers, we met Emilia and Max when they visited us at Kibble and we started chatting about what she could make for us at Kibble. We decided on 3 designs, one of which is a Kibble EXCLUSIVE! It is bright and vibrant just like us!! And we LOVE it, thank you Moki and Blu.
We caught up with Emilia and asked her a few questions about her business, how she started Moki and Blu and what it’s all about, here’s what she had to say:
My partner and I created MOKi & BLU because we wanted to create Dog accessories that are hard wearing, durable and a little different, having our lively working cocker spaniel Max who finds water or a muddy puddle wherever he is this was a must. My background is retail management and I have always dreamed of having my own brand so when we got Max it made sense to combine my two loves- my dog and retail!
A little about mischievous Max our inspiration, he is an absolute bundle of energy who loves long walks in the Yorkshire countryside and will steal your socks when you’re not looking but afterwards he loves nothing more than snuggling up with his blanket on the sofa with us and we wouldn’t change him for the world.
All MOKi & BLU items are handmade at our home in West Yorkshire and I come up with all the designs and colour combinations myself, I also make a lot of custom orders working with customers ideas and bringing them to life. The BioThane collars are vegan and wipe clean perfectly so are amazing for mucky pups and the rope leads are made from PPM which is super strong and durable.
When we got asked to produce a line of products for Kibble Bakery we were over the moon, Max is very partial to their pupcakes and the human food is just as delicious! I absolutely love seeing dogs wearing our products and am so excited to have our products in the amazing Kibble Bakery.
